Student Profile
John Griffiths is and Adult Supported Learning Student and won the “Student of the year” award for not having a day off in a whole year.
John who has studied at the college for 3 years, had a tough start to his education. With a lack of confidence and not many friends John decided that college wasn’t for him and left. However with the encouragement of his tutor, John finally came back to and made friends. “I come to college now everyday, now that I have made friends I love coming.”
John’s confidence has grown over the last 2 years and he now has the opportunities to record his own music on to CD, produce his own pots in pottery, and make clothes in his sewing class.
John said that his tutors help him with his reading and writing and some of the other activities, they are always encouraging him to do more and gain his own independence.
