Learning Resource Centres
We provide books, videos, journals and access to a range of electronic information sources. These include on line services such as Infotrac, Fame, Childlink, and many more. Many of these resources are only available to students and staff of City College.
Computers, Internet, Photocopying, Videos and Book Loan
Most centres provide access to computers and the Internet, photocopying facilities, audiovisual viewing facilities and study spaces. Many resources can be borrowed by staff or learners, and renewal and reservation services are also available. Inter-site loans can be arranged. Facilities vary in the different centres, please telephone for detailed information. Photocopies are free for your course work. Other photocopies are charged at 5p for A4 and 10p for A3.
You are entitled to a Learning Resource induction programme to introduce you to research skills, how to write a bibliography, and how to get the most from the Internet. Your personal tutor will arrange this.
