Join our Board of Governors and help transform lives through learning

Over 12,000 students choose to study at City College Birmingham and your involvement and contribution can help us meet the needs of all in our communities.

As a Board member your insight, experience and ideas can widen the perspective and development of our Board. We’re keen to involve people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. You may have experience in business, community or social work with charities, financial or legal practice, or even be an entrepreneur. The broader your vocational field and cultural experience the better.

We are currently looking for Board members with knowledge and expertise in quality development and continuous improvement within a business or public organisation, and/or knowledge of and expertise in the training needs of employers.

The Board has ultimate legal responsibility for the organisation and for giving direction, providing a check and balance to the Principal.

This voluntary role brings many professional rewards including Boardroom experience.
