Higher Education
City College Birmingham is committed to widening participation in education and training. Our Higher Education programmes are designed for anyone who:
- wants to progress further in their job
- wants to change their career
- wants to gain a higher level work-related qualification
Many students choose to begin their higher education studies at City College Birmingham and then progress to a fast track top up honours degree with a local university.
We encourage applications from mature students (anyone over 21 years of age) with relevant experience who may not meet the general entrance requirements. Many of our mature students have achieved outstanding results and have moved into professional employment.
All applicants are considered on the basis of their experience and their capacity to benefit from the programme. You will be interviewed by members of the programme team who will consider a wide range of indicators including evidence of previous study and educational attainment, relevant work experience, references and reasons for wanting to join the programme.
